Memorial Foundation was established in April of 1994 with an endowment fund generated from the sale of the assets of Nashville Memorial Hospital in Madison, Tennessee. At that time, members of the hospital’s Board of Directors became members of the Board of Trust of the Memorial Foundation.

connects military veterans across 20 Middle Tennessee counties with careers, community, and crisis services. The organization provides housing assistance, career coaching, benefits counseling, and support to more than 4,500 veterans every year.
offers comprehensive medical care and community health programs to Middle Tennessee’s uninsured, underserved, and culturally marginalized immigrant and refugee communities. Siloam treats more than 6,700 patients representing more than one hundred nations annually.
provides food to people facing hunger and works to advance hunger solutions in Middle Tennessee. Second Harvest annually distributes over 42 million pounds of food to a network of more than 400 partners, who offer over 38 million meals to children, families, and seniors.
is a shelter-to-housing program for families experiencing homelessness. Every year, Safe Haven places more than 300 families in stable housing and connects them with the tools needed to achieve lasting self-sufficiency.
is dedicated to keeping children in school and helping them succeed. Each year, Communities in Schools connects over 5,000 vulnerable K-12 students with caring adults and community resources to help them overcome barriers to student success.
is a residential treatment center for mothers recovering from substance use disorders and their children. Renewal House provides a family residential program, an intensive outpatient program, recovery housing, and more for over 500 women and their children each year.
